Okay, first things first. Everyone wants to know where we came up with this name. G. Thorndike is an old family name is our stock answer. When we know you better, we will tell you the WHOLE STORY.
I have been in the woodworking industry for most of my life. I started as a teenager cleaning log decks with a high pressure fire hose in the middle of the night. Environmentalists and OSHA would have had a fit. After a stint with the U. S. Navy, I returned to the sawmills and eventually became a millwright.
After moving to So. California, I went from repairing machines to supervising production in variuos custom milling operations. From production I moved into selling machinery. I have been in machinery sales for over twenty years.
I derive a lot of satisfaction from seeing a quality machine I sold performing well and making money for my customer/friend.
